</tbody></table>Last night was a 2-1 day as Iowa really gave that game away with their special teams. Two morning games will try to get my NFL record off the ground. I can't seem to pick a winner in the NFL.<br />
<br />
<u>Baltimore @ Cincinnati </u><br />
The Bengals are the most over ratted team in the NFL. The Ravens defense will hold the Bengals offense down and Flacco will get up and down the field their defense.<br />
<br />
PICK <b>BALTIMORE -2.5</b><br />
<b><br />
</b><br />
<u>Tampa Bay @ Carolina</u><br />
TB just plain stinks. Carolina can play a little. Carolina must be licking their chops to see Tampa coming in as they were destroyed by the Giants lat week.<br />
<br />
PICK <b>CAROLINA -3</b>Ronald Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05657497629312142690noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2649884023705884426.post-1545040023243966132010-09-18T08:17:00.000-07:002010-09-18T08:17:19.048-07:00Three teams for SaturdayGonna keep it simple as I have three teams for today.<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://tucsoncitizen.com/mattminkusshow/files/2010/04/6a00e39820718388330120a581327a970b-800wi.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://tucsoncitizen.com/mattminkusshow/files/2010/04/6a00e39820718388330120a581327a970b-800wi.jpg" width="152" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Jake Locker</td></tr>
</tbody></table><u>Maryland @ West Virginia</u><br />
Maryland is struggling on offense. W. Virginia can score the ball and escaped Marshall with an overtime victory last week. They come home and lay the wood to a young Maryland team.<br />
<br />
PICK <b>WEST VIRGINIA -10</b><br />
<br />
<u>Nebraska @ Washington</u><br />
The Cornhuskers are making a move on the national scene here as they travel to Seattle to face the Huskies. A tale of two QB's here as Nebraska sends out a young Martinez and the Huskies counter with maybe the number one pick in next years NFL draft in Jake Locker.<br />
<br />
PICK <b>NEBRASKA -3</b><br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Jewel Hampton</td></tr>
</tbody></table><b></b><br />
<b></b><br />
<u>Iowa @ Arizona</u><br />
Big Ten vs Pac 10 as Iowa travels to Tucson to take on the Wildcats. Iowa is coming off a total domination of Iowa State. The Wildcats are looking for a national following as they strive for some national respectability.<br />
<br />
PICK <b>IOWA +2 </b><br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"> Rivers will not have McNeil protecting the left side</td></tr>
</tbody></table>Yesterday was another juice out as the Colts have no idea how to stop the run. Green Bay is the real deal and will favorites in a lot of their games. I have one game tonight.<br />
<br />
<u>San Diego Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs</u><br />
San Diego is playing without three offensive starters from last season 13-3 AFC West Championship team. Two are holdouts and Tomlinson has taken his services to the Jets. Kansas City has a new offensive coordinator in Charlie Weiss. Chiefs QB Cassel is not one of the NFL's best at his position and that will be the downfall tonight for Kansas City.<br />
<br />
PICK <b>CHARGERS -5</b>Ronald Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05657497629312142690noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2649884023705884426.post-78695520839287593142010-09-12T08:36:00.000-07:002010-09-12T09:14:52.234-07:00First full Sunday of NFL action<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Defending AFC Champions</td></tr>
</tbody></table>Yesterdays college was a juice out as I go 1-1 with the Cardinal winning easy and losing with Miami OH. I think I'm done betting against Eastern Michigan because that is two weeks in a row they cash and lose outright. On to Sunday as I have three bets.<br />
<br />
<u>Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans</u><br />
Those are still the Colts that got embarrassed by the Saints in the second half of last years Super Bowl. That's sill Peyton Manning under center and that's still 15 losses out of 16 chances for the team from Houston. Houston is a lot of peoples darling little sleeper team. The number is very small and attractive.<br />
<br />
PICK <b>COLTS -1</b><br />
<b><br />
</b><br />
<u>Green Bay Packers @ Philadelphia Eagles</u><br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Life without McNabb starts today</td></tr>
</tbody></table>Quarterback is such an important position in the NFL, every team is willing to spend as much as it takes to get a good one. Offensive problems stem from bad QB play and when you are breaking in a new one it takes time. When that new QB is facing a good team like Green Bay then it becomes a no brainer. Kevin Kolb is not Kurt Warner or Tom Brady, two guys who came out of no where to suceed in the league. Philadelphia wakes up to reality today and finds out life without Donavon will be a disaster.<br />
<br />
PICK <b>PACKERS -3</b><br />

I'll take Friday off and have two plays ready for Saturday. One Pac 10 game and a MAC Conference game.<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Eastern Michigan's last win was in 2008</td></tr>
</tbody></table><u>Eastern Michigan @ Miami OH</u><br />
I will be going back to this team as I do believe in finding bad teams and bet against them. Eastern Michigan lost every game last year and their first game this year. They lost at home to Army last week but covered the number. Miami of Ohio played stayed with Florida last week but ended up losing. The Red Hawks have Colorado State then Missouri after this game, so this may be their only win within the first four games. The number is fourteen and opened at 16.5, look for the Red Hawks to open a big lead and run away with this home game.<br />
<br />
PICK <b>MIAMI OH -14</b><br />
<b><br />
</b><br />
<u>Stanford @ UCLA</u><br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">QB Andrew Luck will lead the Cardinal against UCLA</td></tr>
</tbody></table>I'm not buying into this Bruin team just yet. Stanford may have the best quarterback in the Pac-10. UCLA still can't play any defense when the game is on the line as they had the lead late last week against a weak Kansas State team. Stanford may be in the conference title run as QB Andrew Luck will be too much for UCLA.<br />
<br />
PICK <b>STANFORD -6</b>Ronald Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05657497629312142690noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2649884023705884426.post-87015579741883814902010-09-09T11:38:00.000-07:002010-09-09T11:38:15.060-07:00The National Football League<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Last seasons winning FG</td></tr>
</tbody></table>Thursday night football for last years Super Bowl champ has been a nice move for the NFL. Years ago they used to be on Monday Night Football but this seems to be a good fit.<br />
<br />
<u>Minnesota Vikings @ New Orleans Saints</u><br />
It's hard to not see the first game of the new season being a stinker like last years Steelers / Titans game. The whole world loves Drew Brees and the happy go lucky Saints. They will score their points and they like to bring pressure. The Minnesota Vikings have the best running back in the league with Adrian Peterson and a QB who has seen everything a defense can throw at a quarterback. New Orleans will get their 28-35 points. The million dollar question is can the Vikings keep pace. I think they can as New Orleans is an aggressive attacking defense and Farve and company know this to be true. Their last game was a 31-28 loss to New Orleans in last seasons NFC Championship game.<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>

Today is a very unusual Thursday as USA basketball, MLB, WNBA, pro and college football. Just a sports bettors nightmare with all these games spaced out evenly all day.<br />
<br />
<u>Cincinnati Reds @ Colorado Rockies</u><br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Travis Wood looks to keep the white hot Rockies down</td></tr>
</tbody></table>The Rockies are red hot as they try to climb back into the NL West race and Cincinnati tries to close the door on the NL Central crown. Colorado has won seven in a row and 30 of it's last 40 at home as they send Jason Hammel (10-7, 4.25 era) to the hill. The Reds will counter with Travis Wood (5-2, 3.19 era). I love these day games following a night game situations. I usually bet the under and today is another good one. The number is low at eight and the two starting pitchers are coming of victories while giving up two or less runs.<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Livan Hernandez takes the hill for the Nationals</td></tr>
</tbody></table>R.A. Dickey (9-6, 2.91 era) faces Livan Hernandez (9-10, 3.81 era) today at Nationals Park in Washington D.C. Hernandez has 1-0 record with a 1.33 era in his only meeting against the Mets while Dickey is coming off a shelling vs the Cubs last week. Early morning start following a night game could lead to some bench players getting a start. New York won last nights game 4-1 and are looking to end a ten game road trip. The Mets just might want to get this game out of the way and head home.<br />

<u>Atlanta Braves @ Pittsburgh Pirates</u><br />
The Atlanta Braves send Tim Hudson (15-6, 2.30 era) to the hill to face James McDonald (2-5, 5.62 era). The Braves are struggling to score runs and Hudson owns the Pirates. Last nights game was a 3-1 win for Atlanta. Lots of ground balls and strikeouts tonight in Pittsburgh.<br />

</tbody></table>Two ranked teams. The whole world is watching BSU and wants to see if they are for real. Va Tech knows this and will come out fighting at home on a national stage. This has scoring written all over it. I can easily see BSU getting 35 points and Va Tech right there with them at 28. Playing a side is to risky here as the spread is near a pick. I'm looking for points and more points. All of college football wants to see if BSU is for real.<br />

</tbody></table>Taking yesterday off was a nice refreshing change to sports watching. Wisconsin took the life out of me with their push, but life goes on weather I win or lose. Two college football games to end the opening week. MLB will be on the back burner for a while, I may play a total here and there but that's it until the playoffs.<br />
<br />
<u>Navy vs Maryland @ Baltimore, MD.</u><br />
This is a very good Navy team as the Midshipmen look for another 10 win season as they open their season against a young Maryland team. The line is less than a touchdown and very attractive. The young Maryland team will have a tough challenge staying with their assignments on defense against the triple attack Navy will throw at them. Playing at a neutral site will be in favor of the Middies as they always draw well. Two teams going in different directions as Maryland is coming off a two win season and Navy was a ten win bowl team last season.<br />

</tbody></table><u>Army @ Eastern Michigan</u><br />
The Cadets travel to Ysplanti, MI to take on Eastern Michigan. This one sticks out like a sore thumb for me and heres why. The Cadets return their starting QB for an offense that runs the triple option. They played each other last year and Army won 27-14. Eastern Michigan went winless last year posting an 0-12 record. The Eagles start a sophomore at QB who had to fill in for an injured senior last season. This game will come in under the radar as the Cadets run wild against the Eagles. <a href="http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news?slug=ap-army-emichigan">Read the game matchup here from Rivals.com.</a><br />

</tbody></table>Lots and lots of action to throw your hard earned money away on this evening. I am already dialed in on the Golden Gophers and will be looking at one MLB total and a WNBA side. Here we go.<br />
<br />
<u>Detroit Tigers @ Minnesota Twins</u><br />
Detroit sends out their ace Justin Verlander (14-8, 3.58 era) to the hill tonight at Target Field in Minneapolis while the Twins counter with red hot Scott Baker (12-9, 4.55 era). Minnesota's pitching staff has held teams to four or less runs in their last ten games. Baker has a 5-0 record with a 3.02 earned run average since the All Star break. The Twins are hitters are having a tough time at the plate as Justin Morneau, Jim Thome and Orlando Hudson are all out. Verlander has a 1.64 earned run average in two starts against Minnesota this season tallying a 1-1 record. The last two games have gone under the number and look for this one to do the same.<br />
<br />
PICK - <b>UNDER 7.5(-120)</b><br />
<b></b><br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Diana Taurasi and Lauren Jackson will battle tonight in Game One.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>Phoenix is the highest scoring team in the WNBA at 93 points a game. They finished second to Seattle in the Western Conference. They open a best of three game series tonight in the Emerald City. Two very high scoring teams and a short series with the best scoring team in the league being a seven point dog. That is to good to pass up.<br />

</tbody></table>I already have one bet for tonight with Minnesota in NCAA Football. I'm also thinking about playing the WNBA game also, but let's see how this MLB game goes.<br />
<br />
<u>Oakland Athletics @ New York Yankees</u><br />
Dallas Braden (9-9, 3.28 era) vs C.C. Sabathia (18-5, 3.14 era). Two very low earned run averages in a Thursday afternoon tilt. Oakland looking to play out the string and the Yankees are headed to the playoffs. Both were winners in their last starts. This may be one of those ho-hum nothing special 3-1 home team wins. Too much going on today with college football starting and a very light MLB schedule. Take the UNDER 8.5(-120) runs.Ronald Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05657497629312142690noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2649884023705884426.post-76158291685257153132010-09-01T20:39:00.000-07:002010-09-01T20:39:59.091-07:00College Football Thursday<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">FS Kyle Theret will miss the MTSU game</td></tr>
</tbody></table>College football will kickoff Thursday night when a handful of teams step on to the gridiron. I will be making one selection for tonight and one pick for Saturday. Let's start with the Thursday night game.<br />
<br />
<u>Minnesota @ Middle Tennessee State University</u><br />
Big Ten vs Sun Belt. Power running game vs finesse running quarterback / wildcat. Starting QB benched vs 10 new starters on defense. All of this wrapped into the first game of the 2010 season.<br />
<br />
Minnesota graduated 9 starters form it's defense and of the two returning starters, FS Kyle Theret will not be playing due to violating team rules. Starting left OT Dom Alford is also suspended. The Gophers are returning to a power running game this season. The offensive line is big and experienced. Minnesota's O-line averages 6-foot-4, 321 pounds they out weigh the MTSU D-line by 70 pounds.<br />
<br />
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; text-align: left;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://images.covers.com/editorial/2010/383x165/dwight_dasher082710.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="http://images.covers.com/editorial/2010/383x165/dwight_dasher082710.jpg" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">QB Dwight Dasher</td></tr>
</tbody></table>Middle Tennessee State University(MTSU) is without their all everything superstar QB Dwight Dasher, in his place will be sophomore junior college transfer Logan Kilgore from Bakersfield College. Dasher was their leading passer as well as the leading rusher, so his loss can't be taken lightly by the MTSU coaching staff.<br />
<br />
I believe Big Ten football will prevail here as the line is very small here with the Gophers being a slight favorite at -1.5. Take Minnesota(-1.5) to win as MTSU will have trouble with Minnesota's running game. I would buy it as soon as possible as this line may go up.<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Leilani Mitchell of the New York Liberty</td></tr>
</tbody></table>After receiving a gift in the Sox/Indians game this afternoon I think I will try my luck with a WNBA game.<br />
<br />
<u>Indianapolis Fever @ New York Liberty</u><br />
Game two was a home win for the Fever. They were up against the wall and they delivered. They came out and played a hard nosed defense and shut down the Liberty, in doing so they exposed them offensively. New York relied too much on the outside shot and they came up cold. I'll take the better defensive team and that is the Fever. Take the Indianapolis Fever (+4) to win.Ronald Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05657497629312142690noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2649884023705884426.post-28431175592040950072010-09-01T07:15:00.000-07:002010-09-01T07:15:29.087-07:00September call ups<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">A.J. Pierzynski hits a 3 run homer in the 9th to send the Sox to victory</td></tr>
</tbody></table>Last night was a perfect 3-0. I am officially on fire and will be playing a few games today. I believe in striking when the iron is hot.<br />
<br />
<u>Chicago White Sox @ Cleveland Indians</u><br />
One of my favorite situations will be happening in this game. A September call up making his season debut for a non contending team against a team fighting for a playoff spot. The hometown Indians will hand the ball to Carlos Carrasco (0-0, 0.00 era). He went 0-4 with an 8.87 era last season. The White Sox are looking to send Cleveland to it's fourth straight defeat as they send Freddy Garcia (11-5, 4.89 era) to the hill this afternoon at Progressive Field in Cleveland. Take the clutch hitting White Sox (-135) to win.Ronald Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05657497629312142690noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2649884023705884426.post-50020853658655958482010-08-31T08:30:00.000-07:002010-08-31T08:34:15.038-07:00Two totals and a side for Tuesday<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Josh Beckett</td></tr>
</tbody></table>Last night was a nail bitter as the Sox give up three runs in the bottom of the ninth and then win by four in the 11th. Today is a huge card as I will be placing three bets for tonights action.<br />
<br />
<u>Boston Red Sox @ Baltimore Orioles </u><br />
Josh Beckett (4-3, 6.50 era) will be on the hill for the Red Sox. Boston has to make their move now as they open a three game set with Baltimore at Camden Yards this evening. He will be facing Brian Matusz ( 6-12, 4.79 era). Beckett owns a career 5-1 record with a 2.98 era against the Orioles while Matusz has a 3-1 record with a 2.32 era in his last five starts. Play the UNDER 8.5(-105) runs.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<u>Detroit Tigers @ Minnesota Twins</u><br />
Two very hot pitchers going at it tonight at Target Field in Minneapolis. Both starters have a sub 2.00 era in their last three starts. Play the UNDER 8.5(-115) runs. This should be a pitchers duel with not many runs being scored.<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Detroit opens a three game series against Minnesota</td></tr>
</tbody></table><br />
<br />
<u>Colorado Rockies @ San Francisco Giants</u><br />
The Giants lost a heart breaking last night in the ninth as Colorado scored two runs in the top of the inning to take the victory away from the jaws of defeat. Two rookies take the hill tonight as Esmil Rogers ( 2-2, 5.66 era) face off against Madison Bumgarner (5-4, 3.95 era). Look for the Giants to bounce back and win this game as the taste of last nights game remains fresh in their mouths. Take the Giants (-140) to win.<br />

</tbody></table>Going 1-1 yesterday with the only loser being the over in the WNBA game. Today I have a playoff contending team looking to make a move to get back into the playoff race.<br />
<br />
<u>Chicago White Sox @ Cleveland Indians</u><br />
This one is all about starting pitching for me. Mark Buehrle (12-10, 3.93 era) tries to turn around the Sox as they are the losers of two in a row. They travel to Cleveland to face Mitch Talbot (8-11, 4.44 era) who has complied an 0-2 record in 14.2 innings pitched with a 7.36 era in his last three starts. Buehrle in that same time frame is 2-1 in 20.1 innings with a 3.10 era. Chicago opens play tonight 4.5 games behind AL Central leading Minnesota and Cleveland leads the season series 8-4. It has to start now for the Sox as they will travel to Boston after they finish this three game series with the Tribe. Take the Chicago White Sox(-130) to win.Ronald Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05657497629312142690noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2649884023705884426.post-31235425775713542092010-08-29T16:13:00.000-07:002010-08-29T16:13:04.151-07:00Ladies hoops to finish a very profitable weekend<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: left; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><tbody>

</tbody></table><u>New York Liberty @ Indianapolis Fever</u><br />
In the pervious four meetings three out of four have gone over 145. The total for tonights game is 146. New York leads the best of three series 1-0 and will be looking to knock out the Fever tonight in Indianapolis. The two teams split the season series at two apiece as the home team won each of their games by double digits. Game one was a 13 point Liberty victory last Thursday night. I can easily see both teams lighting up the scoreboard as New York would like to end it and the Fever want to extend the series to three games. Take OVER 146.5Ronald Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05657497629312142690noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2649884023705884426.post-89886654878954178902010-08-29T09:19:00.000-07:002010-08-29T09:19:34.174-07:00A lazy Sunday afternoonYesterday was a 3-0 day as I collected on every wager I made. <tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">R.A. Dickey looks to shut down the Astros</td></tr>
</tbody></table><u>Houston Astros @ New York Mets</u><br />
Houston sends out 25 year old right hander Bud Norris ( 6-7, 5.03 era) this afternoon at Citi Field in New York. The Astros pitching staff has allowed three runs or less in their last seven games as Norris will look to continue the Astros stellar starting pitching. R.A. Dickey ( 8-5, 2.64 era) last faced Houston on August 18 and went 8 1/3 innings while giving up two runs in a 3-2 14 inning Mets victory. The hot Astro pitching along with Dickey for the Mets should keep this game under 7 runs. Take the UNDER 7(+105) runs.Ronald Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05657497629312142690noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2649884023705884426.post-5847436298899571802010-08-28T11:05:00.000-07:002010-08-28T19:36:45.146-07:00Three selections to get Saturday moving<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>

</tbody></table>Last night was an easy winner with the Astros / Mets under 7.5 runs. That game never have a chance to hit the over. Today I will be playing two MLB games and one WNBA game, so buckle up and enjoy this holiday weekend.<br />
<br />
<u>Minnesota Twins @ Seattle Mariners</u><br />
The AL Central leading Minnesota Twins play game two of their weekend series against the lowly Seattle Mariners. The Twins are on a two game winning streak and have a 3.5 game lead over the Chicago White Sox. Nick Blackburn of the Twins will face off against Doug Fister in this afternoon affair at Safeco Field in Seattle. Blackburn was sent down to triple A on July 30 and was recalled last week as he took the loss while giving up three earned runs in seven innings pitched. Seattle's Fister has struggled this season also with a 4-9 record. Minnestoa has beaten the Mariner right hander twice this season. I'm looking for Minnesota to keep it rolling, take the Twins(-110) to win.<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Grienke is 1-0 with a 1.64 is his last three starts</td></tr>
</tbody></table><br />
Two teams just trying to finish the season send out their young guns as Zach Grienke (8-11, 3.83 era) of Kansas City faces Jeanmar Gomez (3-4, 3.62 era) at Progressive Field in Cleveland. The 26 year old Grienke is 1-0 with a 1.64 in his last three starts. Gomez will be making his eighth start in his rookie campaign as he tries to recover from a eight run eleven hit shelling he took in his last start. Gomez and Grienke squared off last week in Kansas City as the Royals won 2-1 on August 17. Take the UNDER 7.5(even) runs.<br />
<br />
<u>Seattle Storm @ Los Angeles Sparks</u><br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Swin Cash</td></tr>
</tbody></table><div>Seattle is the class of the Western Conference as they are the number one seed and look to knock the Sparks out of the playoffs on their home court. The Storm are looking for another solid performance from Swin Cash as she scored 20 points in game one. Los Angeles is just looking to hang on as Seattle is on a mission to end the series today especially if Phoenix wins their game that will be played just before their tipoff time. Seattle -6.5 is the pick.</div><div><br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">The Astros are coming off a four game sweep of Philadelphia</td></tr>
</tbody></table><u>Houston Astros @ New York Mets</u><br />
Nelson Figueroa (3-1, 2.98 era) takes the hill for the Astros and he will be countered by New York Met Mike Pelfrey (12-7, 3.80 era).<br />
<br />
Houston is coming off a surprising four game sweep of the Phillies in Philadelphia. Figueroa's August 17 no decision against the Mets was 4-3 win for the Astros as he gave up two runs in five innings pitched. Houston was the benefactor of a lack of run scoring by the Phillies in Philadelphia. They did just enough to win. Pelfrey has a 1.64 era in his last three starts.<br />
<br />
These two teams have played four games against each other this season and have failed to reach a total of eight runs in any game. My bet will be UNDER 7.5(-125) runs.Ronald Jhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05657497629312142690noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2649884023705884426.post-73442132524538911832010-08-26T16:58:00.000-07:002010-08-26T18:40:22.083-07:00WNBA Playoffs<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; text-align: right;"><tbody>

San Antonio barley got in and is playing without their best player in Chamique Holesclaw who is out for the rest of the season.
